Terms of Use

1. The service

A Gut Day is a personal journal for food, symptoms, sleep and activity, with statistics and AI-assisted suggestions to help you notice patterns.

2. Medical disclaimer

A Gut Day is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Insights, patterns and coach answers are informational only and can be incomplete or wrong. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about severe, persistent or worsening symptoms, and never delay seeking care because of something you read in the app. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the app unlawfully or for anyone else's data without their consent.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or scrape the service.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process your content in order to provide the app's features to you.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

If paid features are offered through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by that store under its own terms, and you can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features, and will inform you of material changes to these terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties and exclusion of liability

A Gut Day is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, A Gut Day accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. This includes, without limitation:

• health consequences, worsened symptoms, dietary decisions or delayed medical care;
• reliance on insights, patterns, AI-generated answers, nutrition data or reminders that turn out to be incorrect, incomplete or missing;
• data loss, corruption, unauthorised access, downtime, or failed or late notifications;
• indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, loss of profit, income or opportunity.

You use A Gut Day entirely at your own risk and remain solely responsible for your health decisions. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the event, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by us.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims arising from your use of the app in breach of these terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
